Jacob was born on the 29 Dec 1836 and died on 1910.   Enrolled 12 Sep 1862 at age 26 in Co D 3rd Inf. 1862 Militia at Sunbury PA as Pvt.  Discharged 25  Sep 1862.  He reenrolled 14 Mar 1865 at age 28 in Co C 74th Inf.  PA Volunteers at Harrisburg PA and mustered in 17 Mar 1865 as Pvt at Harrisburg PA and mustered out 29 Aug 1865 as a Cpl.  Listed height 5' - 8 1/2," black hair, hazel eyes, light complexion.

He was a Carpenter; Planing Mill operator, Lumber Dealer in Milton PA.  He also was a School Director for 9 years, Sunbury PA Lodge F&AM, Republican, Lutheran.

He married in 1860 Jane Ann Gossler b Sep 1838 PA and had 2 known children:

William G. Fetter who was born in 1864 in PA. 

James Herbert Fetter was born in 1867 in PA
