Make a Bequest and Make a Difference!

Since 1969, we have been blood donors through the Puget Sound Blood Center. Currently, we also volunteer at local blood drives.  The Blood Center is an independent, volunteer supported non-profit providing blood and tissue services to Western Washington hospitals and clinics.

Having no immediate heirs, we decided to leave our entire estate to a reputable non-profit organization.  Our goal was to select a beneficiary that could provide the greatest possible impact on saving and/or improving lives through the healthcare system.

We feel that the selection of the Puget Sound Blood Center as the beneficiary of our estate fulfills our goal. The Puget Sound Blood Center provides blood and tissue services throughout the Northwest.  All donations to the Blood Center are used for research, and are not used to fund day-to-day operations.  Research performed at the Blood Center has been vital both nationally and world wide in the development of blood and tissue collection, preservation, testing and transportation techniques that have helped save and improve the lives of countless individuals.

We view our  bequest as a gift to everyone, and we would like to encourage other "everyday" people to make the charity of their choice a beneficiary in their will.  Not everyone can leave their entire estate to a charity - most people leave the bulk of their estate to family.  But even a small bequest - perhaps given in conjunction with your other gifts to family -  can make a real impact.  It is not only  the wealthy who can make a difference.  There are a lot more of us "everyday folk" around!

We hope you will consider making a  charitable bequest to YOUR favorite cause, whether that is the Puget Sound Blood Center or another organization. We invite you to visit their website at: www.psbc.org.

Thank you for visiting.  Please email us if you have any questions about the Puget Sound Blood Center.
