James Behnke is the owner and designer for R & J Building Design.
A 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Service, James has
extensive construction experience including framing, finish carpentry,
masonry, and residential electric. In 2001 he founded
R & J House Menders.

Upon completion of a Computer Applications Technology Certificate,
R & J Building Design was born. In addition James has completed
training in the New Building Code Fundamentals of 2003 IRC and Major
Revisions of the 2003 IRC from the International Code Council.

James has combined his background in Drafting and Building Practices
with consistent attention to detail and dedication to his customers.
He brings clarity to plan details in addition to providing cost-conscious
and construction-sensible designs.
