Tax-Aide Appointments

We are able to prepare and efile the federal tax returns for most taxpayers. You do not have to be a member of either AARP or the senior center. There is also no age requirement.

Some of the kinds of tax returns we cannot do are:

• returns with wages or investment gains over $250,000
• most returns with rent income
• returns with a business that includes an office-in-home
• small businesses (schedule C) showing an overall loss
• returns with unusual trades such as futures, commodities, virtual currency
• farms

When you first arrive for your appointment, we ask you to fill out an Intake/Interview and Quality Review Sheet. Some people prefer to pick it up early, fill it out at home, then bring it with them to the appointment. See above for where to find the packets. A list of what you will need to bring is also included in the packet.
