The Way Home

Synopsis: The second film by female Korean director Lee Jeong-hyang (The Art Museum by the Zoo) is the story of a young boy named Sang-woo (Yu Seung-ho) who is sent to spend the summer in the country with his mute, elderly grandmother (Kim Eul-boon) while his mother looks for work in Seoul. An incorrigible brat accustomed to video games and television, Sang-woo rails against his grandmother's rustic existence, which is devoid of all modern conveniences, including indoor plumbing. Thanks to her patience and generosity, however, he eventually learns that there are more important things than his Game Boy. ~ Tom Vick, All Movie Guide
