Synopsis: This program looks at the phenomenon of Cirque de Soleil, a company of former street performers from Quebec who revolutionized the face of the circus. Trading in live circus animals for actors in imaginative costumes who portray surrealistic creatures, Cirque de Soleil added a new dimension to the circus idiom. Light shows and extravagant sets add to the fanciful productions.
