Skylark Entertainment is proud to announce the debut of their 2007 tour program
Girl Singers of the 40’s 50’s & 60’s. This all new musical program will feature the hits of three decades of famous girl groups from The Andrews Sisters through the Supremes.
Our girl trio, The Skylarks, will be delight audiences with classics of the swing era such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Pennsylvania Polka,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and “Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree.” Moving into the 50’s they perform music by groups like The Maguire Sisters and the Chordettes such as “Sincerely,” “Mr. Sandman” and “Lollipop.” They will also perform many early rock-n-roll and doo-wap hits such as “Why Must I Be a Teenager In Love?” “To Know Him Is To Love Him,” and “My Boyfriends Back.” Then rocking into the 60’s with hits by Martha and the Vandellas, The Shirelles, Little Eva, The Dixie Cups and of course The Supremes. Through out the evening, music of solo artists such as Peggy Lee, Connie Francis, Doris Day, Brenda Lee, Lesley Gore, Dionne Warwick and Gladys Knight is featured.
This fourteen member ensemble includes a rocking 9 piece, Las Vegas style show band, The Snowbirds as well as The Skylarks and technical support. They will be spending the month of February performing at resorts and country clubs through out Southern California and Arizona.
