Relics

Many times, we can only connect to the past with the relics left to us by those who served. Here, we plan to give viewers a glimpse into life as a member of the Regiment by sharing the relics left to us by that generation.

V Discharge signed by General George Washington – Corporal Lemuel Smith

Our first relic is truly a rarity two times over: (1) it bears the signature of the Commander of the Continental Army; and, (2) is for a Corporal who saw service in the 12^th whose total service was longer than that of the Commander. Lemuel Smith served eight years and one month at the time that this was signed.
