Sequim Tax-Aide Appointments

We are able to prepare and efile the federal tax returns for most taxpayers. You do not have to be a member of either AARP or the senior center. There is also no age requirement.

Some of the kinds of tax returns we cannot do are:

• returns with wages or investment gains over $250,000
• returns with rent income
• returns with a business that includes an office-in-home
• small businesses (schedule C) showing an overall loss
• returns with unusual trades such as futures, commodities, virtual currency

The packets are here! When you first arrive for your appointment, we ask you to fill out an Intake/Interview and Quality Review Sheet. Some people prefer to pick it up early, fill it out at home, then bring it with them to the appointment. If you wish to pick one up early, the main office at the Shipley Center or the Sequim Public Library have them to give out.

If you are not able to pick up the Intake Sheet early, here is a list of what to bring to the appointment.

If you expect to itemize your deductions on the tax return (mortgage interest, property tax, charitable contributions, etc.), you can use this form to help you gather what you will need.
