HOLISTIC
FITNESS
FOR
PETS

Friday, August 15
2-4:00 pm

As a nurse and Holistic Health Counselor, I used to work with people. Now I prefer to help their pets. Why? People can make their own health decisions. Our companion animals depend almost entirely on us for their well-being.
Learn to interpret their language and discover the many NATURAL remedies to help your best friend live a long, happy life!
Bring writing material/tape recorder and join us for this enlightening seminar on August 15, 2-4 pm at the Senior Activity Center by Ingrid Perle, P.H.A.

PAN

July 10
10:00 am

PAN, short for panguingue, is a card game that is easy to learn and fun to play!  If you already know how to play rummy, you have a head start.  You don’t have to worry if you have a partner, or being the odd-one-out because any number can play (how cool is THAT?).

Meet Bobbie Dahm in the classroom
on Thursday, August 14th, at 10:00 am.

Depending on interest, this could become a regular activity at the Senior Center so, if interested, but you can’t come in July, let Bobbie know.   Any questions?  . . . call her at 582-9873

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED  Top of Page

BUS DRIVERS NEEDED!

If YOU have a Class B CDL License, the SSAC needs YOU!

Here's an opportunity to volunteer a day or two a month, keep your CDL license current, AND visit many interesting areas of our state with groups of enthusiastic passengers!  How great is THAT?

Benefits:  The driver and guest receive everything advertised for that tour, including admissions and meals.  Meals, if it's an 'on your own' lunch or dinner, are paid for the driver and guest.  Also, all fees incurred for CDL relicensing, including the physical, will be assumed by the SSAC.

  Qualified interested drivers, please contact:

Michael Smith, Executive Director  - 360/683-6806

Kendra Donelson   360/683-5883

RECYCLE @ THE CENTER

·    Ink jet printer cartridges help purchase office supplies for The Center.

cell phones now raising money for the center . . . Bring in all your old cell phones and it will help the Center. Some are worth as much as $30 each in this program sponsored by the National Council on Aging.  We don't need the charger, instruction books, boxes or cords, just the phones themselves.

Just think, this could happen to us!

As reported from the NCOA…”the Stoughton Senior Center in Wisconsin has just surpassed the $3,000 mark, bringing their total to $3,504.14 as of October 1st, and kept 891 phones out of our nations landfills.”

The collection box is in our reception area. Let’s fill it up!
