About Me In 1996 I retired from a large computer corporation where I was the Training Coordinator. Retiring in Sequim, WA was a goal for many years and now the time had come. Sequim started an Open Aire Market in 1995. I decided that I would refocus instead of retiring. This was when Sequim was also refocusing their farmlands to encourage farmers to grow lavender. Sequim is now considered the Lavender capital North American. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to refocus on until I researched soap making using vegetable glycerin bases. These have always been my favorite soaps, so I was intrigued. I purchased bars of unscented glycerin soap and started with my ‘what if’ attitude to do my research on the Internet. I made my first bars of soap using Lavender essential oils and later added silk to them. After a lot of R & D, I developed some Unique Soap. I then decided to expand my products to Lotions and Cream. The main ingredients in my base for lotion and cream are purified water and glycerin. I have added liquid silk to them for a deep penetrating lotion. I found people were taking better care of their feet, so again I researched to create my formula for my wonderful Silk Foot Balm. And that is how Unique Soap and Lotion was developed
