Part 1:  Write the prepositional phrase(s) for each sentence. (3 pts each answer)

 

  1. Each of us has a blue sweater.
  2. My sister slept during the movie.
  3. The baseball fans waited outside the stadium.
  4. Under the bridge the water is very deep.
  5. The lifeguard dove into the pool and swam three lengths.
  6. Scrape the plaster off the beams.
  7. Are the kids ready for dinner?
  8. Did you give my message to Mom?
  9. Beatrice put the plants near the sunny window.
  10. Along the way we saw several vendors.

 

Part 2: For the underlined word, write whether it is an adverb or a preposition. (3 pts each answer)

 

  1. The kindergarten class played outside all afternoon.
