Active and Passive Verb Forms sheet 2

Active: Karin will run the projector.

Passive: The projector will be run by Karin (add form of “be”; add “by”)

Active: My father built the house.

Passive: The house was built by my father.

Passive: The house was painted (white) by us.

Active: We painted the house white.

Directions: Rewrite the following sentences. If the verb is active, make it passive; if it is passive, make it active.

1. Mother made some pies.

2. The teacher told an interesting story.

3. The President is elected by the people.

4. These cookies were baked by my sister.

5. Charles was punished by the teacher.
