Essay #7 Pro Con Essay and Speech – topics

This essay wants you to focus on a decision that needs to be made in the next year and a half. Basically, what are you doing after high school? Some sort of decision will have to be made. It’s time to at least start thinking towards that decision.

There are only a few basic choices that one has, after that, the decision making gets more complex.

1. JOB – no matter what decision or path one goes down, eventually, one must get a job that can support himself or herself and possibly, a family.

2. Technical school – a school that teaches specific skills for a specific job.

3. College, 4 year or 2 year – get further schooling in hopes of securing a better paying job.

4. Military – joining the military as a career in and of itself, or joining for a specified amount of time in order to gain skills that will transfer to a civilian world job.

5. Family – having a baby is a full time job. How is one being supported is a concern.

6. Nothing – still living at home supported by folks. Taking time off from school before launching into life. Travel before making a life decision.

So… at the most basic level, here’s a list of possible topics for this paper:
