DianeÕs
wonderful hand quilted applique quilts are a feast for the eye and soul. She has exhibited at the 2000 APNQ Show
in Seattle, WA, the 2003 Houston International Quilt Show, and will exhibit at
the 2004 American Quilt Show in Paducah, Kentucky at the end of April. Diane was also featured in
the February 2004 issue of The
Applique Society newsletter.
Come and see DianeÕs Honeysuckle quilt,
exhibited at The Applique SocietyÕs 2003 annual meeting and quilt show in
Sacramento, CA in May of 2003. The
pattern came from Mary Bywater CrossÕ book Treasures In the Trunk, Quilts
of the Oregon Trail. The
pattern appealed to Diane because her maternal grandparents lived in
Oregon. She designed the border
using Barb BolestaÕs book on border design. DianeÕs Honeysuckle also has the
honor of being chosen as Viewers Choice quilt during our 2003 quilt show.
Diane has been
a very active member of our Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club for the last 8 years. She is quick to share her expertise in
hand quilting, needle turn techniques, and her love of quilting with new and
experienced quilters alike. The Sunbonnet
Sue Quilt club is excited and proud to have Diane Shafer Davis as our featured
artist at our 2004 Quilt show.
