Meeting Minutes, January 9 2008
The main topic of this meeting is what events does
the club schedule for the coming year.

Grand
opening of the new Erickson
Park courts. Should we wait for
better weather in the summer or try for a spring opening, invite a pro,
invite executives from the USTA, try to make it a big event or small? It was
suggested that we ask members for suggestion via email.

Possibility of a club get together at the Crab House for the women’s
Australian Open again. Check with Rich Riski on this.

Indoor
mixer at the indoor Bainbridge
Island courts Presidents day weekend
in February. Laurel will look
into this.

Spring
league. Christy Brown volunteered to run this again starting the 12th
of April every other weekend.

Summer
league. 5 weeks in July on Thursday evenings.

Sequim
doubles tournament in June run by Julien.

Last
year we had a very popular tennis camp in July. Do we want to do this again
this year?

The
spring annual morning business meeting has not been well attended the last
few years. As elections of officers are no longer held at that meeting,
there was discussion about dropping this event.
Justine Textor had to decline the clubs
scholarship due to school regulations.
