A club name tag will be handed out when membership is paid. Norma read off the list of club social events which were scheduled during our winter meeting. The next scheduled is by Mariel on June 3rd. Gene Turner may have something in July. It is alright to have a fund raising event at these social events. On the court remodel, the project has made it onto the city public works list and next goes to the city council. Pledges towards the clubs $20,000 are being accepted at this time though no money is to be included until we get results from the city council. Pledges total $2100 at this time which comes to $4200 with matching funds. Northwest Rotary has allowed us to get on there 501 3c non profit status rather than the club going through the long process of getting its own status. Bob stated that there is to be another covered court meeting on Monday with an update to the club at the next business meeting. He also did some research into noise abatement at the Erickson court. A short solid wall would go a long way to significantly reducing traffic noise. Bob demonstrated the Hal learning to hit system. A session has been scheduled for next Saturday to practice with Hal. Mariel has a couple of high school art students interested in painting the club logo on the court backboards. Meeting adjourned Carl Strunk
