I purchased the initial kit (Tail) and got my feet wet building the horizontal and vertical
surfaces. Then I bit the bullet and went to the factory in the Portland area and picked up
the balance of the kit.  It was 1994 when I got the tail surfaces and mid 1995 when I
picked up the balance. Also in March of '95 I got a line on a run out engine and rebuilt it
with ECI parts and the expertise of Allen Rickman in Columbus, MT.

The actual building time was probably close to normal for an RV, something like 25-2600
hours, but the time period was as we all now about six years. The whole airplane was
moved twice during its construction, complete with jigs being taken down and re-built.

The engine is a 150 hp Lyc. 0-320 E2D and it turns a Pacesetter prop.  The panel full
IFR and I have built in oxygen to get to those good tail winds.  The empty wt was
1028 lbs and I can go full tanks, Terry, and 100 lbs of  baggage and still be under gross wt.

The next major project will be the paint job, beige over-all with dark blue trim.
