We have a 200 acre ranch in the Hoh River Valley located 20 miles south of Forks, WA on Highway 101 (just south of milepost 172). We are about four hours travel from Seattle either driving South through Aberdeen or by ferry from Edmonds and driving through Port Angeles. We are seven miles from the Hoh Rain Forest Road and six miles from Ruby Beach on the Ocean. The house is a hundred yards from the road so it is quiet except for the frogs croaking in the spring and the rooster crowing at dawn or the occasional barking of our dog at a meandering coyote. We have many farm animals including cattle, goats, sheep, llamas, deer, and birds. You may fish for steelhead, salmon, or trout from our river banks (500 yards away) with proper licensing.
Our overnight lodgings are in rooms in our ranch house. Our rooms are not sumptuous but we have comfortable beds and a beautiful view of the valley and the river. Our facility is non-smoking. TV and a telephone is available in our family room. Our guests share bathrooms. We serve a full farm breakfast at eight in the morning. Room rates run from $35 for single or double occupancy if one bed is used. There is no charge for children under 16 years old in the same room. We are not set up to accept credit cards.
We are in the rainiest part of the contiguous United States but it is beautiful in the summer and often late into the fall. Even the winter is interesting with storms rolling in off the ocean and the onshore winds keep our winters fairly mild.
There are no restaurants near us so you may get your dinner on arrival night in Forks 20 miles to the north or at Kalaloch Lodge 13 miles to the south.
There is no advance for reservations. Arrival time is six PM or a call on arrival day will hold until later. If you reserve, please let us know in advance if your plans change.
