The Luna-Almazan Family
My name is Maria Angelica Luna and I am employed with Clallam County as an interpreter. My partner, Juan Almazon, who is employed at Concerned Citizens as a cook and maintenance man and I have lived and worked in Forks for 8 years.
We have four children: Lisa Almazon who is 14, Alexis Vera who is 8, Adan Vera who is 6, and Antonio Almazan, who is almost two.
This is the first opportunity
our family has had at home ownership and we are very excited. Forks is a great place to live and work and everyone in this community has been very supportive. The chance to own our own home will greatly enhance my children’s quality of life. We will have much more space and the children will have their own rooms and a nice yard to play in. They will also live much closer to their school. So it will be much easier to get to school and to participate in after-school activities.
This opportunity means the world to both of us. We are very excited to be part of Habitat for Humanity. We would never be able to own a home without
the help of this wonderful organization, and the many volunteers and donors, that make home ownership for families like ours not just a dream but a reality. We will work hard to make all of our goals a reality. Our main goal is to own our home and to never move again.
