As
a follow-up to the inflatable wingsail, I invented a wingsail
that utilized carbon ribs, rather than battens, or inflated tubes.
The prototypes were built asymmetric. The picture displays a sail
built to be efficient on starboard tack only. The head of the
sail is designed single surfaced to promote a forgiving, twisting,
breathing feel. Need to test.
