Super WideSock Sails

Previous | Home | Next
This sail is pre-widesock, but it shows a new batten layout. Notice the short batten at the tack. This drops the foot of the sail closing the gap between the bottom of the board and the surface of the water. Additionally this new batten layout is employed to help keep the foot of the sail from deforming under load. The stack of bricks is roughly the same height as a standard universal joint.
