SafeHaven - a no-kill animal shelter.

I have to tell you, now, about SafeHaven.
SafeHaven is Peninsula Friends of Animals' no-kill animal rescue center. At present it houses only felines, as they are the easiest to take care of. As funds permit, a dog shelter will be created at another portion of this 34 acre property.
The offices and kitten quarters are upstairs; the rooms for the cats are downstairs. PFOA can house up to 65 animals, by county permit.
This is an all-volunteer group, with only one (meagerly) paid caretaker, who carries a large work load. Our funding comes from donations, not governmental agencies.
And this is where and why I have so many wonderful cat photos. I take their photos for the ads the newspapers give us. Such a luxury! Such a pleasure!
