Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you offer any club discounts?
A: No, Crescent Beach & RV Park is a privately owned and operated campground and is not affiliated with any discount programs.  We do have specials from time to time, so check out our promotions page!

Q: How soon do I have to let you know to cancel my reservation?
A: For reservations made on a regular week or weekend, 3 days notice must be given for cancellations.  For reservations made for a holiday week or weekend, 7 days notice must be given.  Subject to management approval, all reservation deposits will be returned as rain checks, which will be good for up to one year from cancellation.

Q: What is the amount of deposit required to make a reservation?
A: There is a $25 deposit required per site, when making reservations.  There is no deposit required when "dropping-in" at the campground, but there are no guarantees that a site will be available.

Q: Do you have family rates?
A: Yes, family rates include Father and/or Mother and any unmarried children under the age of 21 and still living at home.  Families with less than 5 members would do better to not use the family rates; any children aged two and under are free.  Extended family (i.e. Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, etc.) are not included in the family rates and will be charged at the additional charge of $6 each per night.

Q: Is there a minimum amount of time I can stay?
A: Only if you are reserving a site for summer or holiday weekends.  Minimum stay during the summer (June 1st through August 31st) is 2 nights on the weekends.  For holidays, minimum stay is 3 nights.  Crescent Beach & RV Park also has day use passes, so you can come for just the day or even just a few hours.  Check out our rates page for day use fees.

Q: Which holidays are considered for the 3-night minimum?
A: Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day weekends require 3-night minimum reservations.

Q: Do you allow pets on the campground and/or on the beach?
A: Yes, pets are allowed at both places and must be kept on a leash at all times.  There is a charge of $6 per day per pet.  Please no Rottweilers or Pit Bulls.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets; Dogipot bags are provided at the office and at the bathroom facility.

Q: Is there a place to keep our dog if we want to go to Victoria, BC or go hiking in Olympic National Park?
A: We recommend Cheryl's Country Kennel, a local business just 5 miles east from Crescent Beach & RV Park.

Q: Do you have cabins?
A: No, the closest cabin rentals/lodging is at Log Cabin Resort or Lake Crescent Lodge, which are both at Lake Crescent, not on the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Q: Do you have a boat launch?
A: No, the closest self launch is at Freshwater Bay; Port Angeles has a full-service marina.  Kayaks have no problem launching from Crescent Beach.

Q: Do you allow fires on the beach?
A: No open fires are allowed on Crescent Beach, but fire rings are provided for use at the campground.  Firewood is available for sale.

Q: Are fireworks allowed on the beach?
A: Yes, when they are legal in Clallam County, from noon on June 28th to noon on July 6th; only fireworks legal in the state of Washington are allowed during this time.  Crescent Beach & RV Park will have a 4th of July special - see our promotions and news web pages for more details!

Q: Do you have Internet access?
A: Yes, we now have Wi-Fi access!  We have password-protected access to the Internet, so ask your Hosts how to log on to our Wi-Fi when you check-in.
