2860 Crescent Beach Road, Port Angeles, WA  98363

The northwest coast offers some of the best fishing, bird watching, coastal hiking, beachcombing, kite flying, whale watching, nature viewing, surfing, kayaking and scuba diving in Washington State. Come to Crescent Beach to enjoy them all.

The beach gets its name from the distinctive half-bowl crescent shape. A beautiful one-half mile of this sandy beach is part of the park.

Sand dollars, shells, agates, and  driftwood are plentiful.

A perfect place to take in the majestic panoramic view of Vancouver Island.

There is more than enough room to build sand castles, write in the sand, fly a kite, beach comb, or just lounge.  Don your wet-suit and grab your surfboard - catch a wave - winter or summer.   Bring your kayak and launch from the calm, gently sloping sandy beach.

Many children seem fascinated with seaweed brought in on some tides. The bullwhip kelp with its long tail, bulbous and fringed end, is amazing.  Occasionally the narrow end will still be attached to a piece of the reef.  This makes for a great "natural" toy.

By far the most popular activity is simply strolling from one end of the beach to the other. Early morning is the best time to catch a view of the wildlife such as bald eagles, seagulls, sandpipers, otters, and deer.

Every evening, God paints his awesome sunset across the sky.

Relax and succumb to the symphonic surf!
