Tool can be used in two different modes.
Radial Mode is useful when you want to measure
the direction from one location on the map
to several other locations. The anchor point will
remain fixed at point A when a direction line is
created from point A to point B. Waypoint Mode
is useful when you want to measure a series of
directions along a zig zagging route

can toggle between these two modes via the Preferences
menu
