"PIGMENTS OF MY IMAGINATION" OIL PAINTINGS

My paintings are a celebration of lively brushstrokes, reflected light, and the best color I can come up with. I think of them as: "PIGMENTS OF MY IMAGINATION." I use big hog hair brushes loaded with paint and use a lot of it. My style of painting is to go directly to the source and paint from nature.

You  might find me anywhere around the Olympic Penninsula standing at my easil painting near an old barn, the beach, or the Lavender fields. Artists/teachers who have influenced me are: Sergei Bongart, Sebastian Capella, and Barbara T. Roy. My peers have blessed me with over 25 awards and two of them were for "Plein Aire", (painting directly from nature) and  a Special Award for "Best Use of Color". One of my paintings was flown to Voorburg, Holland as part of a cultural exchange. I participated in the first "Legacy Show" at the Ebel Club, Pasadena, Ca.  (for former students of Sergei Bongart).
